November along the trail
| Place | Elevation | Avg high | Avg low |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ghandruk | 1,940 m | +15 °C | +6 °C |
| Deurali | 3,230 m | +7 °C | −2 °C |
| Annapurna Base Camp | 4,130 m | +3 °C | −4 °C |
Modelled 10-year averages (ERA5 / ERA5-Land via Open-Meteo), checked against the Pyramid research station in the Khumbu, 2016-2025 (within about 1–2 °C of the station's measurements). Temperatures only: the model's rainfall is too coarse to trust in rain-shadow valleys such as Manang, so we leave it out. Mountain valleys and ridges vary more than these grid-model averages show.
Clear and calmer
November keeps October’s clear post-monsoon skies, and the trail gets quieter as the month goes on. It’s an excellent month for sharp views of Annapurna South, Machapuchare and the Sanctuary peaks.
What to expect
- Colder nights at the top than in October, as the table above shows. Bring a warm sleeping bag.
- Dry trails and stable weather most days.
- Fewer people than in October, especially in the second half of the month.
