| Manang | 3,540 m | +12 °C | +4 °C |

Modelled 10-year averages (ERA5 / ERA5-Land via Open-Meteo), checked against the Pyramid research station in the Khumbu, 2016-2025 (within about 1–2 °C of the station's measurements). Temperatures only: the model's rainfall is too coarse to trust in rain-shadow valleys such as Manang, so we leave it out. Mountain valleys and ridges vary more than these grid-model averages show.
Peak season on the Circuit
October is the most popular month on the Annapurna Circuit. The monsoon has cleared, the views from Manang are sharp, and Thorong La is usually open and stable.
What to expect
- Crowds at Thorong Phedi and High Camp. Rooms near the pass fill up; your guide plans the night before the crossing carefully.
- Cold pre-dawn starts for the pass, even in October.
- Dry upper valleys. Above Manang and on the Mustang side the air is dry and dusty.
